Ode to Midnight

Oh, Midnight comes again,
She visits every night
Adorned with that dark dress,
She knows I like.

I cannot slumber, without
My Tenebrous Mistress.
Her knee between my thighs,
Cold hands grasp my ribs,

Causing me to shiver.
I bear her weight.
On my body and
In my heart.

As her icy breath descends
Upon my chest and neck,
My skeleton vibrates
Beneath her.

She feels like death.
She is the blanket
That Restricts,
Taking my breath away.

When tears run, she stalks.
Always lingering by,
A star waiting to be seen.
Waiting for sunset.

My Love.
My Darkness.
My Solitude.
She is Midnight.
