Loving (Liking) My Body

Free verse
What can I call this?
This desire?
Inside, this fire.
Raging flames,
Intense intense surges,
Causing these urges,
Inside I burn, leaving scars
Will they think it hideous?
I don’t need love or affection,
not anymore.

I need someone

To make me feel,
and I really want

To love my body,

For that I must try
But I won’t ever learn,

Because I can’t.
