Drained

Tired and drained
The words etched in my brain
The simple explanation
For my lack of motivation
My little energy is stolen in school
Following every insignificant rule
Day by day I rot
Stressed about tiny things I forgot
What will this get me later in life
I'll tell you now, nothing but strife
I won't be able to look back on anything
The only thing I know is that school is tiring
Exhaustion rolls over me
Yet sleep still flees
I’m stuck in this half-sleep
Thoughts my brain is too tired to keep
I’m tired, tired, tired
No matter how much sleep I get, more is desired
The loop is never-ending
And my burn-out is impending
