Out of the stump

Extra credit for this class
The only one I have a B in
Watching letters shine through the glass
Thinking “where to begin”

Perfect for the break I took
When I found poems less exciting
Tucked away in a little nook
Writing and rewriting

Perhaps a poem on my favorite movie
Or a different decade
These ideas seem so groovy
They’d be different from anything I’ve made

I can feel ideas flourish and grow
Soon my creativity will overflow
