Pain in his eyes
Lee Harper 1998 (Liverpool)
Delve deep into the life, through this wanderer’s eyes,
Past littered with lies, yet none were a surprise,
He accounted it all, the algorithm for pain,
When you discover that tumour in your brain.
However as lucky, this one is not really physical,
But it murders your mind so much that it’s criminal.
Through days full of rain clouds,
And nights full of silence,
It’s no wonder that this man turned violent.
His family around, yet they do not be,
A girlfriend too, pushed away from he,
Because sometimes solemness beats what was had,
To be around so many, yet always feeling sad,
I’m just glad, that regardless of that,
It’s easier to be alone, and they’re just the facts.
He delved too hard, on his chaotic past,
And ‘til this day, it created this act,
So now into a corner he will never be backed.
Life was not always such a deeply cruel thing,
But now he knows, that’s all that will bring,
To him another shared their pain,
And then left, and he never felt the same.
Now this wanderer he goes, away into ash,
Deeper than the hells where everything ignites like it’s gas,
This place is not physical, for it is the past,
Where everything hurts, and laughter does not last.
If only you saw, how he was back then,
Where there was joy and there was happiness,
And all of his friends,
He was once happy,
Now that happiness ends.
