Analysis of The Ballad Of County Derry.
While listening to songs about a barmaid
‘Peg of Limavady’ and ‘Finvola, the Gem
Of the Roe’ I recalled my Irish roots.
Confirming that the county of Derry will
Always be home to me no matter wherever
I may travel across land or sea.
For the land and the surroundings of the
County are beautiful and the local people
Are of the most kind...
So, if you travel to Ireland spend a while in
The County of Derry which provided the air
For a song about a Scottish boy called Danny…
For the county of Derry is a gem of Europe
And I hear it calling for there is no better place
To be within planet earth.
