Analysis of PATHWAYS OF RESILIENCE

Today I walked through that ancient thorny road again,
It is always dark so you can't dodge the thorns at all,
And everyone there is screaming at the top of their lungs,
All the screams sound the same, so it could just be my echoes.

I am mentally strong enough to pull myself out of it now,
That black hole has got strong gravity though,
It isn't always easy to break the grip or break the fall,
But as I defeated depression, I think I learnt all your lessons life.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, it almost killed me,
I don't need strength now, I need love, I need peace, happiness,
Life, I don't like lemonade now please stay with your lemons,
What I need is a sangria so Maybe some red wine

About this poem

Have you been through depression and something happens and you almost slip back in. But then you pull yourself out and realize you're stronger now, but you also don't need any more of it... This poem is about that.
