Analysis of Ole Pitch
So I was dreaming
And fighting Pitch Black
My weapons were useless
For my dear mighty foe
Took my eyes out,
Right from their sockets
Instead, I had to use my wit!
My mind had to see
For my eyes could not be,
As they were taken
By my dear Pitch Black
You know, Ole Pitch is everywhere
Even in the daylight
Pitch is my odd shadow
But he’s not much of a friend
I never could own my loneliness
While Pitch shuffles around me
Changing shapes, big and small
Ole Pitch has never left at all
