Renë Descartes' " I think therefore I am" is not just a saying or a philosophical quote to me. It happens and I am caught in a conundrum of wonder; I must have been good and doing good and so the blessings nonstop.

Time Scampers Away

No rush, really
But right now
In the wee hours of morn
I hear a little mouse
Scampering, leaping, hurrying
Not me, no rush at all

Hours ago it was 1995
And now it is 1996

Adorned with garish ornaments, beauty fades
Crowded out by glittering trinkets
Hanging over mind and body

Early in life I've learned
Beauty hides from cruelty and vengefulness
Unkind vibrations exterminate it
And fear of its being snatched
