Radu Nițescu was born in 1992, in Bucharest, where he lives ever since. He published his first poetry book, gringo (printed by Casa de pariuri literare) in 2012. Four years later, his second book, Dialectica urșilor (printed by Casa de Editură Max Blecher) appeared. It has received the best poetry book of the year prize offered by the reading club Nepotu' lui Thoreau. He published Satao, his third poetry book in 2020, for which he was declared Young Writer of the Year in Romania (prize awarded by Agenția de carte). Some of his poems have been translated in English, German, Bulgarian, Turkish and Jewish.
