rainbow

Rainbow

A child is like a prayer lifted up against the sky.
We sing it's praises in hymnal fashion, we exult it's
greatness merely as an extension of ourselves.
The Child is the perfect gauge to failed dreams, which fell
in the generational gap drifting in to the gray of our regrets.
The child is the beacon, the light which promises tomorrow
exists, that the spring does come after winter's thaw.

That the colors do indeed blend at the end of the rainbow
