Osculations Deprived

Sweetest berries hung rippening on the trees,
would they kiss your neck so sweetly as me?

Would they caress your shoulders in midnight hours,
in a softness slowly silked like folding flowers?

With such lips so loved by cupid's bow,
would they rest in bliss a buss bestow?

Would they mend these broken, battered strings,
and heal ever so gently the hurting stings?

In each tear that trickled down one's face,
would arms not desiccate in emotion embrace?

Hands so delicate in delectation fondly found,
would they hold tightly, coupling and bound?

And henceforward falteringly fumbling in these desires,
would our sentiments seal the tangling wires?
