A Burial Will Greet You and My Cords Severed
I severed this cord, this genetic link,
you left me in your despise, in your hostility.
How everyday you harmed, you tortured me,
and I am to forgive, to forget this?
What demons possessed your soul, your mind,
that you could not keep love, not keep affections?
I asked you many times, many moments,
when you beat the life from me, beat the love from me.
What made you rip these fibres, these particles,
that made my being, my heart enslaved?
Did it entertain your madness, your hate,
these dying pieces, these loveless actions?
Did you laugh while tears flowed, while deadness came,
a wish granted for you, for my vicious mother?
And you killed it, you killed everything,
your own mother, your own child's protector.
And in such lies you kept, you denied,
each day they build up, they tear you down.
For the dying day will come to you, to your bed,
and I will not be there, I will not weep for you.
I will cry for my grandmother, for my father,
and my for my dearest siblings, my own tormented soul freed.
And my daddy will fly again, will be free again,
and no longer your slave, your damaged product.
No dances on your grave, on your unholy ground,
will we rejoice as you said, as you spat so many times.
But a memory of a heartless woman, a deranged woman,
who held prisoners of her children, of her husband in life
These things no grave can diminish, no life can remove,
but a hope for better days without you, without you and your demons.
