Looking and Thinking

I look out over a peaceful land,
Observe the waves doing what is planned,
White against blue they pound the shore,
Each one follows those that came before.

Sounds are deafening but I don't mind,
This is life as has been defined,
No visible trouble the clouds are sparse,
Here at Brighton there's only marum grass.

Seagulls they squawk passing now and then,
While I write with my ball-point pen,
Capturing the moment brilliant and sweet,
As I perch on this delightful seat

At Brighton Pier this morning is mine,
In the library with muted sunshine,
Among the books right by the sea,
Able to relax which really suits me.
About this poem;-
When visitring Brighton in the South Island I strolled
along the pier, wrote this poem and visited the
library beside the pier. The poem was written

to record this activity, and scene which I liked.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
