Saturday morning

Within the kitchen there's shadows and light,
Early morning sunshine is a pleasurable sight,
The clock ticks as minutes pass by,
Out the window there's a fresh blue sky.

Today its fine the rains have ceased,
Thunder and lightening overnight had increased,
Its now delightful there's peace and tranquillity,
Also a freshness that appeals to me.

Saturday and quiet with no work today,
Time to rest and accept what comes our way,
Life is exciting there's love and happiness,
Fortunately for us after the storm no mess

The air's crisp anticipation is great,
Birds they appear all seeking a mate,
Wind it beckons the beach does too,
There we'll go because there's plenty to do.

Tide and waves will be soft and sweet,
Oh how invigorating on legs and feet,
Certainly quite cool but relaxing for me.

Lovely the briny you can't beat the sea.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
