Catherine

The center of the universe - she's known it so well

Living on sugar clouds, so sweet is thy smell!

Her body an aura of expensive perfume, mixed

With kisses from the sun, dotted freckles bloom

Across the hills and highlands of wintery skin

Breaths - intoxicating rainstorms barely spoken

Oh Catherine, dear Catherine, when did you fall?

Out of your center-stage universe, I saw

When your sugar clouds dropped you, spread too thin

New feet stumblin' around, where've you been?

Head and heart pounding, body flung in wide twirls

I've seen, but I wonder, what 'as dizzied up the girl?

Oh Catherine, dear Catherine, what brings you here, so?

That was before what I saw, Oh I've seen, now I know

Wildflowers can twine together to make the perfect crown

But even their picked petals fall softly to the ground

Oh Catherine, dear Catherine, let your tears be forgot

Don't listen to the petals when they cry 'Loves me not...'
