Bloom To Born

Dancing words on a pinhead's point,
conclusions roam the walls
of madness, where doubts squeak clean
the haunting of inner visions,
that ghost story face with campfire light.

I listen intently, save words for a rainy day,
live inside your laughter, your tears
as friend and heart - shrink me, shrink you.

Dusty modes of transport make my mouth dry,
loud cracks strike the mind’s thunder
as I watch you fall, shake yourself down
and stare with eyes wide but laughing,
as sorrow, that confusion dream,
fastens the seatbelt and grins.

I smoke another nicotine theme
as liquid screams down the throat of me,
I watch you unfold and spin and spin
and spin some more while the halfway house;
excerpts of words, make breakfast
before tumble-weeding across the morning,
releasing veins flow backwards,
progression unfurls like a flower in time travel
scenes, I watch it fade from bloom to born.

New directions, new escape, new old thoughts
running wild in cloudy waters, soaking to the feline
bones - cat calling despair into nights -
an old boot misses your cries as you jump
from fence to fence - paws taut and gripping.

Did I say I love you - as I fall into friendship’s waters,
always here in times of calling, I will laugh smiles
for your eyes to greet and welcome in bursts
of intensity, wired eyes - minds, sleepless depths,
insomnia a joke of some past life dreaming awake.

Scream light across the cloudy seas - surf the dreams
of sound waves and speak away subjects,
dance around them as the crash of water licks fur.

Direction - truth of self calls ongoing debts
that sing the past into other worlds.

Emotion yourself into being as dire straits
leave fractured bones in your wake,
urgency bellows - I am restless in life.

Desire removed with a simple asking,
stored in the back of mind for when needed,
annihilate the peaks that climb you.

Love follows as your slip away, it hides
behind corners - takes sneaky looks
and ducks and dives in shadows,
warmth to the chill here as I speak your
name out loud in the name of young years
calling us to the dance of smiles and frowns.

Temptation of self lies crucified to tears
as the restless body moves in wanting sleep
to calm the heart, a respite from thinking,
being the one who always is strong in eyes
of other lives looking for direction’s ways
to bleed away insecurities with a smile
of self-assured am I when inside the shoes
are kicked off with screaming wants
of what about me, someone hug me for a change,
I remove my masks, show my face and laugh,
a candy laugh, it melts in your mouth,
leaves a welcoming taste as we run about
barefoot to the world’s demolition.

Friendship fun throws chocolate into
footfalls, broken shells of coloured days.
