Motion Took Flight

As the afternoon shed garments of light,
and threw wild scent into the air's fine grace,
your shadow stretched across lilies' bells; bright,
time quietly paused to watch beauty's face.
In every notion which laughed love past eyes;
wide with soft appreciation's cool breeze,
I took steps along pleasurable sighs,
then motion took flight and you moved, Louise.
The ghost of a garland hung on your hair,
it fluttered pale colour to spirit's shine,
those flowers which were under tender care
danced shivered whispers up and down my spine.
Pride fastened itself to heartbeats right here;
stood on the back step watching you, my dear.
