Reggae 97

Christopher David Mears 1982 (Indianapolis)

No chains on our feet now.
But are we free?
Democracy?
Bullshit.
No one asked me.
Yes,
we are free,
to be poor,
victimized
and mentally oppressed.
The oppressors rape us,
with their lies.
They try to cover our eyes.
Say "oh well,"
and let it happen again,
history is infinite,
and crosses itself,
over and over again.

Our children are f@#cked,
for I know what is to come.
Technology rises,
society no.
What does not kill us,
only makes us stronger
If that were true,
we would only suffer longer.
