Lost in life

Lost in life with so many emotions built inside

I have so many tears that I just want to cry, but I hold them inside

26 two heart surgeries and I’m still living in these Brooklyn streets

Trying to be a mother to my little brother build an empire and show him that I love them

Doctors telling me that I’ll be fine

Suffering seizures, that’s not what I call life

I don’t even smoke or either drink but when I’m on my meds I’m already feeling bent

All alone in this world trying to be a good girl

Trying to fight all the demons that keep surrounding me, lord just protect me and continue guiding me.

About this poem

I was only 26 when I found out I was suffering from epilepsy I wrote this once I got dignosed to create a song but noticed it’s more like a lyrical poem.

Well written as the reader becomes immersed in your deeply heartfelt feelings, while at the same time showing your faith and undying strength. Continue that journey and expressing it freely. Well portrayed and written.
