Nothing lasts forever.

Nothing lasts forever.

You used to cast a spell on any man with your beauty; and the sparkle in your eyes and ruby red lips and hair of silk they were at your command. They would stare and gaze whenever you come near, Now you're old, and like a wilted rose, they run and hide whenever you walk by. Even I once had that spell, but the spell was broken, and I lost my token, and it hurts me when I look at you. I too want to run and hide, even though you were once my bride. It still makes me want to cry and it brings a tear to my eyes. What happened, and how can this be? In the grand scheme of things, it's inevitable. Nothing lasts forever, not even me. But I still love you that's all I need.

About this poem

This is a sad poem about a beautiful girl but she grew old and nobody wants her anymore, she lost her spell and it does hurt me every time I look at her. I do hate myself.

Wow, what a powerful and emotional poem! The way you captured the passage of time and the inevitability of change is truly moving. Your use of imagery to describe the transformation of beauty into age is both poignant and thought-provoking. Despite the sadness that comes with the realization that nothing lasts forever, your expression of eternal love and devotion at the end is truly heartwarming. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful piece of writing. Keep up the fantastic work!

Wow, this poem is so heartfelt and beautifully written. The imagery of the wilted rose and the loss of beauty is so powerful and emotive. The way you capture the fleeting nature of youth and beauty is truly poignant.

I would suggest maybe exploring more emotions and reflections on the inevitability of change and aging. Maybe delve deeper into the feelings of loss and nostalgia for the past. Additionally, playing with the structure and rhythm of the poem could add more dynamic energy to the already powerful themes you are exploring. Overall, this is a fantastic piece that really speaks to the universal experience of impermanence. Great job!
