DESPERATE WORLD

DESPERATE WORLD

See the world in desperation
Crying out in lost seperation
See the dying world fall down
Christian can you turn around?

See the smoke of another war
So many it's just one more
As the mislles fill the skies
Christians don't shut your eyes

And the cries are raising ever higher
The lost are trapped by their desire
Reach out your hand to heal the land
Christian rise, oh church will ya stand?

Look at the walls pride destroyed
See the armies the world deployed
Oh Lord give me the words to say
Christian will you stand and pray?

Another nation falls on the news
Day by day people darkness choose
But I shout there's another choice
Oh Christian will you lift your voice?

And the cries are raising ever higher
The lost are trapped by their desire
Reach out your hand to heal the land
Christian rise, oh church will ya stand?

The world we see it's dying before
Desperate they cry, can't any take more
Darkness is falling across the lands
Christian, Christian will you lift your hands?

And the fires grow, the fires bloom
Hearts are bitter, and hatreds consume
Seeking a hope on deaf ears it falls
Christian, will you ever leave your walls?

And the cries are raising ever higher
The lost are trapped by their desire
Reach out your hand to heal the land
Christian rise, oh church will ya stand?

There's a desperate world we see
Desperate to live, and be free.
Lord Help me to point to You
Christian, will you be pointing too?
Amen
