BEFORE I KNOW IT

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

BEFORE I KNOW IT

Whisper of a tomorrow, I fear to see
Dance the dance and fly away with me
What we are, what we may be meant to be
Is all in the tomorrow I'm afraid to see
For I danced in the fire, and I got burned
I ain't no fool, once was is enough I learned
Yet here you are right before my eyes
So lovely that my heart takes to the skies
I'd swore I'd never fall so hard again
Cause girl, it hurts too much in the end
I can't go through it, oh no I won't
My heart says jump, my head says don't
You're like a dream from which I know I'll wake
The one mistake I won't ever again dare make
Don't tempt me with your awesome eyes
Or pouty lips and longing sighs
My mind is stone, hard, dead set against
Girl I build a wall if you tear down the fence
While I don't look my heat digs a hole for you
Before I know. It, your love has gotten thru…
