City of gods

These monstrous walls,
Absorb all but the night,
I am a preacher to your calls,
Guided by your metropolis light,
Bathed in your glow, moon, still, alone.
The gods of this city sit on a pigeon shit throne,
Rain falls heavy,
Rays ripple in puddles, stones only know,
This wicked world shrivels when the cold wind blows.
