Like a heavy blanket made of stone
I'm drowning under its weight
Surrounded by others, yet alone
I'm searching, but there's no escape
Breathe in, then breathe out
I'll hold it in for as long as it takes
Wondering what this life is about
I'm focusing on my mistakes
Silence becomes overwhelming loud
I'll let the voices reign in what awaits
Time ticks on its unwavering throne
I'm sleeping, but I'm still awake
