The lonely fields of green.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The lonely fields of green.

I love looking at the fields and the sights of green and shaded lanes. I can feel it running through my veins in the ordered woods and gardens. The brown stream of soft, dim skies. It brings a teardrop to my eyes. But I can't share it; I keep it hidden, way deep inside. Then I look, and I can see the ragged mountain ranges of drought and flooding rains. It brings me a lot of pain and sorrow. I can see her, Jewel Seas, her beauty, and her terror. I love The land is here forever.

About this poem

This is about looking out over the fields of green they go on and on for acres.
