I Thought of You
I thought of You and said
"I've got poetry to write tonight"
I just have to get these words out of my head
they have been putting up quite the fight.
I thought about resilience and reluctance;
Unstated curiosities.
The excitement of the battle
..but finally, the freedom of release.
I thought of all the ways
purging is displayed
the heightened intensity
of our human tendencies.
I thought of just how magnificent
being into You really is.
For without you, guiding through
what kind of life is that to live?
About this poem
Have you ever thought to yourself? What is the point of my life? Why am I here? What is this all for? Well, when I think of God in my life and how He's changed so many things, revealed so many things, and loved me despite so many things...I realize for myself, that life is about loving, honoring, worshipping, and praising Him. And once one gets to that point, of walking day by day with God, there is no longer a question.
