Words of a Poet

In case you didn't know it, each word of every poet;
(Well, most of them) will try
To pick the right word that they read or heard
Which they feel will apply.

The metaphor can give us more
As well as similes.
They help create and elevate
The images that please.

The words we choose, we hope won't loose
Direction as we write,
Because we need them to succeed
To help with our mind's "sight".
