Obstacles in My Labyrinth

My labyrinth has obstacles
Life spread throughout the maze.
I wish that some of them were culls
And hadn't set ablaze

The hope I've had to someday be
Much better than before,
In things that would bring peace to me
And yet, I'm wanting more!

It's hard to be objective when
I think about myself.
And so, I start once more again
To stay off of the shelf.
