Conspiritual Conspiracy

I saw the gathering in the temple
Among men of God
I heard them whisper in low tone
And talked about the fading love

They spoke about a new age doctrine
And the heresy so proclaimed
Which has swayed so many souls away
And brought murmur into the house of God

I heard them talk about a new rave
The man with the finger of God
The one converting millions of souls
On the altar of miracle

I heard them say, he is not of God
His power is from the occult
And these miracles are stage-managed
With paid testifiers playing to the gallery

I saw these men of God come closer
Lower their heads and whisper
We shall not let him be
We shall not allow him to deceive the people

Let us crucify him!

Benson Chukwueke

Owerri, Nigeria since 1971. This is how I process and express my innermost cogitations; sitting back with pen and paper, painting words and polishing them until they become flowered verses. I guess for these actions, I could be called a poet or what do think? more…
