Freeing Oneself

The endless preparation to fool proof their game
While manipulating kindness, without any shame
He's twisted your words and covered his tracks
As relatives and friends slowly turn their backs
You decide to hear this mans story
The bumps and unacknowledged glory
Not clearly as complicated as one thought
Instead just a trap in which was caught
Then I asked Exactly what did they think
And their answer came in a frightening blink
Fingers always pointing away never taking blame
While maliciously taking over accounts in your name
Even at the expense of people who care for them.
They'll do whatever is necessary to get revenge
My heart will not betray me and neither my intuition
Freeing oneself from a narcissist is a tiresome imposition

About this poem

Recently I left this site in fear of being sabotaged by a narcissist. I still cannot shake this man but I refused to give up the strength I found with the other poets I've come to know. This is just for those who need clarity they are not alone.

Such a well written poem. Don't let anyone scare you away. Some people are pointless while other's lights shine brightly.

"Narcissist" is code for "coward." Tell em Steve sent ya.

You can bring that smile no matter how tattered and silenced it has become. You are many many levels of a peace from (as i have told you in the past) an unpopable bubble of constant rescue. You mean so much to so many on this sight . .This gift is so powerful you conceal and distribute it so evenly. Our very own ...D'Artagnan
