Hear My Prayer.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

Hear my prayer.

I see everything in black and white. What am I doing wrong, and how do I make it right? Open my eyes so I can see the light. I don't want to fight anymore; it's just not right. Please, Lord, keep me in your sight. Show me the right path that I may take. There are so many, for heaven's sake. My eyes are closed. I can smell a rose, but I can't see its pretty red petals. I know all I've done won't win any medals. But you died for me; that's incredible. You sent me free, and now I can see. I want to thank you, indeed, now that you take care of all my needs. Amen

About this poem

Everywhere I look what I see is not pretty. I pray that the Lord shows people the right way.
