Come Home

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

Come Home

I can see the blood and fear in your pretty blue eyes. How can I help you, and why? I won't tell you any more lies. I think you are going to die, and I can't lie. If you need some blood, you can have some of mine. I just want you to keep that in mind. I do know how to be kind. If you need some tears, I have plenty of them that you can have, but I have none left, so can you put me to rest? I'm scared and all alone. Please wake up and let me take you home. I would give anything I own if you would just come home.

P.S. I'm already home.
