The Endless Fear

             The Endless Fear

Summer and fall have done their course
And winter is approaching near
But seasons play no role at all
To curb the endless fear

Rockets, grenades and guns and tanks
And knives and swords and spears
All in all, it’s for the call to
Retain the endless fear

War and bombs and bombs and war
You watch your front and rear
Here we go round this merry go round
Of all the endless fear

Cluster bombs and nuclear weapons
Placed strategically here and there
Forcing us all to extend the length
Of this chain of endless fear

Surveillance and indoctrination
Encompassing earth’s sphere
Another way of recycling
This mound of endless fear

You are a friend, or you are an enemy,
And that is the way we steer,
Driving ourselves back into the circle
Of all this endless fear

Today, tomorrow and yesterday,
might all seem so sincere
But no one knows how the cycle goes
 around the endless fear
