Once Again

Once again, I sit alone,
tears falling down my face.
Once again, I sit alone,
the darkness I embrace.
Total loss of feelings, yet emotions drown my soul.
No inner peace, no healing. I feel I've lost control.
The fears, they have consumed me,
the pain, so deep, so real.
I try to run and hide it,
but this I can't conceal.
These memories are not fading,
these thoughts, they do consume my every ounce of being.
I'd rather be alone.
There is no one who can save me from who I have become.
There is nothing that can help me, the battle has begun.

I have been writing poems since middle school to help myself express the things I cannot or know how to say. It's been a long-time passion of mine. I've always wanted to be a writer more…
