Hadeel
Arman Hoque 1977 (Winnipeg)
Sometimes we need a non-human moment to gain perspective…
Sometimes it’s the moments between midnight and dawn that make us most reflective…
Things that go on;
Things that go wrong;
Things that go right…
trend us to a future that’s bright..,
I am not a cat… they’ve been anathema to me;
Nearly killing me at an early age;
But I can provide you comfort and wisdom that’s sage.
I can do more and give you all I can be.
I’ve never developed an empathy towards a cat lover;
But I’ve found my path with another…
My daughter’s mother;
The most respectful woman I know…
Who I can direct my daughter towards and show..
A moral compass; a firm state of mind…
A story where a moral you will definitely find..
But bringing her back towards the mess..
She accepts all the rest.
I try each day to put her mind at ease.
The problem is with mine eyes she sees.
About this poem
Inspired finally; but I’m not giving up. I’ve got many more poems in me…
