I Sometimes Go Astray

Sometimes my thoughts will go astray.
It happens every single day,
Especially when I am tired.


The Devil seems to know just when
I start to daydream once again
And tempts me when they have expired.


I need the Shepherd guiding me
When Satan comes so he can see
If sin is now desired.


The Shepherd guards my mind and heart.
How could I ever live apart
When more faith is required?
