WINGS OF THE SOUL

Romcom and popcorn smell,
This soul travels across the oceans,
Anecdotes of drowning in thy brown well,
Swiftly wrecking the walls guarding your emotions.

And walls she brought down alright,
Dazed and terrified you let the bird fly away,
But you didn't put the seeds at the birds sight,
So the bird didn't fly back your way.

Starving, the bird flew too far from you,
Not the soul though, those can slither,
Guess that's hope to pursue,
For the reincarnation of the souls together.

Birds got wings on their souls to soar,
At your needs she'll soar like the days of yore.

About this poem

This poem can be interpreted differently depending on experiences. To me it's about a soul that you'll have to love from afar because it didn't work out for one reason or another.
