Steel Magnolias

Kim Spivey 1957 (New York)

                                Steel Magnolias

Have you ever seen a magnolia tree blossom in the spring?

What a beautiful sight, what a wonderful thing.

Like steel magnolias, these five women are.

Strong but delicate, rich in character by far.

Always loyal, caring, kind, and mature.

Through tests and trials, they certainly endure.

When I see a beautiful magnolia tree

I think of these strong and delicate women

And I am always pleased.
