No Regrets

Kim Spivey 1957 (New York)

I spoke to the one who hurt me so bad.
Letting him know that he made me so sad.
I apologized for speaking in an awful tone.
For all her difficulty, I had not known.
I mended fences with the love of my life.
For once I had been known as his supportive wife.
I told him I forgive him for not being there for me.
No anger, no grudges, no regrets, you see.
