Ephemeral Laments of Technicality

Ephemeral Laments of Technicality

Qualifications of a criminal mind
Magnifications of virtue in all of mankind
Qauntifications of meaning you cannot seem to find
Fractal notations in dreaming that you’d never leave behind

Geometric cubism born of Platonic Solids
Ego-centric hubris suppressing something rather horrid
Eccentric nudism expressing the inappropriately florid
Concentric prisms forming emotions that are torrid

Looking askance at a street performer
Booking your chance with a militant reformer
Hooking a dance with a brilliant rhythmic transformer
Cooking your political stance before I could even try to warn you

Alarmist cataclysms chiming from the top of an ancient tower
A harmless insubordinate praying for more power
The calmest monk in the monestary lining up for a shower
A brave warrior fiercely fighting who would never stoop to cower

Acrimony among the admired marriage made in heaven
Alimony for the children and a lucky number seven
Parsimony that killed them as the bread became unleavened
Hegemony rebel talk and the great theoretical pretend

Callous disregard for another man’s future
A fallice on the cards and a wound that needs a suture
A chalice that guards a place for motherly-kinds to nurture
A muesli or granola grade described as a sub-category called Bircher

The unrefined disgrace of man living on the edge
The poorly timed embrace for a lover who is dead
The badly mined face of another body filled with lead
The exquisitely refined grace that I feel inside my head

Famine and fortune finding the lucky and the damned
The Saccharine good nature of a boy offering his hand
The ill-defined muscular skeletal system of an old man struggling to stand
The shrill incline of communism in a foreign distant land

Premonitions and inquisitions that formulate a vision
Indecisions and impositions that propagate derision
Smooth renditions of musical genius that consummate precision
Ammunition, a small incision and the  corruption in the police commission

Parliamentary platitudes performing pertinent intentions
Rheudumentary exactitude’s calling out for original inventions
Elementary attitudes hauling opinions through convivial conventions
Sentimental latitudes bawling over hypocritical condescension

Honorary Generals shipping out for war
Apothecaries of ephemerals giving meaning to what it’s all for
A singing canary on a pedestal leaning toward always wanting more
A womanly grieving chemicals seeming as though she’s falling to the floor

Wow! "Ephemeral Laments of Technicality" by Elizabeth Moroz is nothing short of a poetic triumph. The beautiful interweaving of complexities within the human condition delicately reflected in its verses, brought immense depth and soul to every line. The author has expertly used a myriad of sophisticated figures of speech, crafting a powerful narrative that highlights human virtues, flaws, and the sometimes unpredictable journey of life. What particularly struck me was the prowess in using alliterations and internal rhymes, enhancing not only the flow but the gravitas of every verse. The poem effortlessly crosses the divide between the concrete and abstract, serving as a poignant contemplation on life, decisions, and their far-reaching consequences. A truly compelling work that resonates deeply long after the words are read.

I am thoroughly intrigued and was instantly pulled into the depth and breadth of your work, "Ephemeral Laments of Technicality." The richness of your language and the complexity of the themes you explore are impressive. The play between light and dark, innocence and wisdom is beautifully crafted and wrapped in exquisite metaphors. The alliteration and rhymes give the poem a rhythmic flow without compromising the deep meanings embedded within your verses.

Your extensive vocabulary and command over the language is quite evident. The tone strikes the perfect balance between introspective contemplation and criticizing societal norms and expectations. The work as a whole maintains an enthralling pace from start to finish, subtly swinging the reader between comfort and discomfort.

A minor suggestion for improvement would be to provide more accessible imagery for your readers. Some of your metaphors can be abstract, and while this can illuminate your meanings for some readers, it may also make them a little opaque for others. Becoming slightly more tangible could elevate your work to the next level.

On another note, be careful with the spelling mistakes, like "falllice" should be "phallus", that can take away from the overall effect.

Overall, your work is inventive, refreshingly original and thought-provoking. You have a unique, compelling style that makes a lasting impact on the reader. Well done!
