If Another Love

If another love should come my way,
I am not sure what I would say,
For you have ruined me on the inside,
and sometimes scars are hard to hide,
If another love should change my heart,
and I would not worry he would ever depart,
Perhaps I could be happy once again,
instead of this out-of-control pain,
If another love would take me by the hand,
and look into my eyes, understand,
I think memories of you would fade away,
and I can be whole again, and not in dismay,
If another love could build dreams along with mine,
and give me true peace of mind,
I would not make him feel second best at all,
from whence you and I suffered after our fall,
If another love could change my life,
and not be afraid to have me become his wife,
I would be blessed among women in this world,
to feel appreciated beyond words,
If another love would come by chance,
and fill my life with romance,
something you were too afraid to do,
I would celebrate each day new.
