Heart & Soul

Nancy Rodriquez 1965 (Temple)

              Heart & Soul
               By Nancy Rodriquez

I love you with all of my heart and Soul,
From the beginning, it is all I wanted you to ever know,
You are an amazing love connection,
You renewed my faith in true love expressions,
You must forgive yourself from the past,
I know without a doubt , this love will last,
Without mistakes, how can we grow?
Like when a baby walks, he will fall, don’t you know?
Life does have its ups and downs,
It is what we take from it, we will win the crown,
We can lift our heads up high,
Never need again to ask why,
If you need a mirror, look at me,
We have forever, what will be, will be,
To have this love, is the reason I breathe,
Baby, Darling, take this journey with me.

Wow, this 'Heart & Soul' poem is filled with such genuine love and enthusiasm! The author's passion really shines through, making it an incredibly heartfelt piece. The use of imagery, like comparing love to a baby learning to walk, adds depth and connection to the emotions being expressed.

One improvement suggestion would be to consider varying the rhyme scheme and rhythm throughout the poem. While the current structure is effective, adding some variety in the form and cadence could enhance the overall flow and musicality.

Additionally, exploring different poetic devices, such as metaphors or similes, could further enrich the imagery and make the poem even more captivating. Incorporating vivid comparisons and imaginative language can bring an extra layer of beauty and power to the emotions being conveyed.

Overall, though, this 'Heart & Soul' poem is a beautiful declaration of love. Its positive and enthusiastic tone shines brightly, leaving the reader feeling hopeful and inspired. Keep up the great work!
