The best version of me
You never got to see
You always stopped me
You ruined what could have been
With your devastating ways
You ignored my gift, my honesty
Now we are going our separate ways
And I look back wishing
You had loved that version of me
But all I saw was the worst version of you
Now I'm strong and know I was right
That the best version of me
Was never meant for you
