Ocean...

The earth gave us its greatest gift
The Ocean
The mistress of our world, an all her beauty, deep within her
She awakens our senses, gives us a sense of freedom like nothing on earth
Whisper your secrets to her, let her take them from you
Give her your tears as she kisses away your pain
She takes it far far away
A collector of pain, a giver of freedom
At her mercy she can make us feel alive, or she can take our life
We are part of her, as she is part of us
For century's we have abused the gifts she gave
We ignored her warnings, for we caused her pain
Her song is now a cry around the earth
We owe her a debt, one which she will keep, like our whispers
Because we forget...
She was the beginning. She will be our end...
