False visions

Valiantstar 1961 (Sydney)

False visions,
Lying divinations.
These are the things that bring down a nation.

Your officials like wolves,
Tearing the prey.
Killing my people for unjust gain.

My law turned to violence.
Priest,
Profaned my holy things.

There is no distinction,
Consequences it brings.

Her prophets: white wash,
Turning nay into yeh.

A spirit of favour,
The word of the day.

But the Lord is not slack,
He will repay.

He looked all over.

No one was there.

Did anyone notice,
Did anyone care?
