Simple pleasures:

The joy of food
To drink your fill

To witness a sunset
Or maybe a sunrise

Even when not sober
Glory to the eyes

Accompanied by the first song
Of the natives in the trees

The warmth of the sun
A cool summers breeze

To search for the unknown
To find a place to rest

To meditate on creation
To snuggle in your nest

The pleasure of procreation
Gifts from above

Simple pleasures
For all, with love.
