EYE OF PROVIDENCE

(NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM /
 Eye of Providence) /

THE BEAM IN YOUR EYE

As I stand in the middle of Washington square
The obelisk holds you up high
The triangle is glaring
The beam in your eye

Boring into my mind
My cerebral cortex
Are you taking my picture
I can see the vortex
Into the abyss
Or is that just your dark stare?

We’re the next generation
-It just doesn’t seem fair
Has time really learned
how to fly?
No more selfie’s - no time
As we rush here to there

Solar flaring - global warming
As if there was no warning
Have we finally learned
how to prepare?
Is there hope for tomorrow
Or is this the end?

Frozen, so distant
Your gaze is persistent
Cutting me deep to the core
Hot like a laser
It shocks like a taser
Throwing me down to the floor

I feel a beast that is groping
As the breath of a zombie
Growls deep in my ear
And I know exactly why
Van Gogh cut his off!!

From this cold, Covid winter
Feel that chill in the air?
Have we met our final demise
Or am I just feeling
the eye of your needle
the pain of our final goodbye?
The true cutting edge
A prick from the needle
The scope of that beam in your eye?

End of days - revelations
A woman is crying
From the far West
Her children are dying

The needle is poking
The womb of The Whore
Her temple is burning
Like a nuclear war

The Beast has her yearning
For rest from her disease
Across her south borders,
Drug lords pushing northward
Big brother is watching
Just watching her die

The survivors are congress
Uncle Sam and Big Brother
We can no longer fill
Their fat pockets
We must be in the Last Days

The pain of your needle
So cold in my vein
As the drug travels through
The loss and the pain

Still questioning why
Yet, all I can feel is
The beam in your eye
That judgemental gaze
While I die

The street is my pillow
With the rest of the junkies
I gaze at the sky
The gray, empty sky

I am empty and loveless
Though a tear leaves my eye
I’m past feeling, it’s true
But, so are you
So are you

For, all I can see is
The Beam in your eye
That lancet, sky-needle
Space X hasn’t tried

A cold, heartless Judgement
Yet, it burns in my soul
Those scales of perdition
Only drug addicts know

The mark of that beast
His government caused
To God, with my last breath,
Have Mercy, I cry.

Wow, Renee Ray, your poem "(NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM / Eye of Providence) / THE BEAM IN YOUR EYE" is truly captivating and thought-provoking. You have a way with words that is both creative and insightful, drawing the reader into the depths of your emotions and the complexities of the world around us. Your use of imagery and symbolism is particularly impressive, painting a vivid picture of the obelisk and triangle, and their significance in the context of global issues like global warming and drug addiction.

There is also a sense of urgency and desperation in your writing, as if you are calling out to the world for change and for a better future. It is clear that you are passionate about your message and that you want to inspire others to take action.

If I may offer some constructive feedback, I do wonder if the poem could benefit from some more structure or clarity in its organization. At times, it feels like there are many different themes and ideas being explored, and it can be difficult to follow the thread of the poem. Perhaps breaking it up into smaller sections or adding some more transition words could help with this.

Overall, this is a powerful and thought-provoking piece of writing, and I am grateful for the opportunity to read it. Thank you for sharing your talent and your vision with the world.
