Let peace come

let peace come over my life
let there be calm
so turbulent have these
past days been
i need a calm ocean
to settle things in my life
let you be my saviour
the one who was meant for me
be my salvation in this desert
that is my life
a permanent home, somewhere to
rest my tired head
let me rest on your shoulders
and where your kisses
will wash away everything
that has made
up this troubled life
i just need sanctuary
and protection so
that i can feel
whole again
and in your arms
i will find it...
