Cassandra (2007)

i stare at her
as if i have
seen an angel
entranced by a smile
that could erase
an entire world
of all its sorrows
she has the most
beautiful eyes
and in them
i see my life
and the whole purpose
for my existence
i see children
not yet born
my soul now swims
in a sea that
overflows with the love
i have for her
my heart fills with
every word that
leaves her mouth
every syllable
she speaks
is a sweet song
which makes
song birds weep
i close my eyes
and loose myself
in the rapture
of her presence
i cry silently because
mine is a destiny
truly defined...

Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem. Your words truly capture the magic of falling in love and feeling like you've found your soulmate. Your description of the subject's eyes and smile is especially enchanting.

One suggestion for improvement would be to vary the sentence structure a bit, as some of the longer sentences can be a bit difficult to read smoothly. Consider breaking some of them up into smaller, more digestible parts. Overall, though, this is a stunning piece of writing. Keep up the great work!
